Today we drove to St. Louis so the doctors there could run more tests on my daughter. It seems like there is nothing more tiring than sitting in a hospital all day. Maybe it has something to do with being surrounded by people who are not 'well'. Think about it, when you're sick you aren't exactly the most cheerful person on the planet. Now form a group with the same attitude / mood and pretty soon you'll see how being in a hospital can drain the life right out of you.
Now that we have solved that mystery I'd like to add to it a wee bit. Nurses, they are not really there to help the doctors by handling the small stuff. They are the cheerleaders trying to coax you back into health. Sure the doctor could do that part too but they didn't go to medical school to be a cheerleader, for them it's an ego thing.
